No amount of hard work can equal talent.
No amount of hard work can equal an inspired action.
Inspiration isn’t wanting.
Inspiration isn't the cry of anger or fear
Inspiration isn't reaction.
Inspiration is ficle like a streak of luck.
Expressions and outlets, we need them, but we cant expect others to enjoy the sound of our toilet.
The sound of the toilet isn't music but it was funny when we were young and oppressed.
We cannot expect others to love our art as we love our own children.
Its not clever to know ones self or to take the piss.
Most of all people like to be unchallenged, elevated, taken higher to a different place from the humdrum.
Don't mistake loudness for passion or the mad for genius.
The intellect is a great thing but passion is pure.
An artist makes two works, one for himself as a study/discovery and the other an expression or show for others, and a good artist knows the difference.
An artist can find revelation, and release in their work but its doesn’t always make a good read.
All art is commercial or it is your own.
There are two occupations in this world; love and trade. All else is survival and wank.
When someone likes your music then you have a friend .
When someone doesn’t like your music there’s nothing you can say .
Madness in old age is sadness.
Genius is like a clever sheep dog, talent is a mysterious gift.
A good pop song will out live a protest song.
