It has brought so much hope to me that a figure of such oratory and apparent virtue has risen to the great job of presiding over the USA and of course the world. It has rekindled my interest in the American dream that I had when I was young. When it seemed that solutions, technology, joy, beauty and the future were held in that great continent. Obama's speeches and manner have rekindled my belief that there is the new world and there is a new way for all humanity to rightfully take its measure of happiness.

THE MATRIX
I took the red pill and it was bitter so I take a blue pill sometimes.

Hope is definitely a drug. Don't you drink sometimes to wash away that taste of reality - let go and and grab your friend and stand in the bright light of your ideals? Are these not important moments, an essential ingredient, a vitamin to carry on the great work out of the human mire. My critics call me utopian, aquarian, idealist and I say yes, what other horizon should I look to.

I've thought that the star trek crew were so so lucky to be in a future where earth is united against other forces than itself. Balanced by its ethnic and philosophic diversity. Boldly going where no society has been before.
Barack Obama is a jazz politician. You can see him improvising, deviating from the script, and at times he’s way ahead of the audience.

Barack is no Miles. He’s not Coltrane. Miles and ‘Trane were not just innovators, they were revolutionaries. He’s more like Herbie Hancock or George Benson. Guys who didn’t so much blaze a path as they followed it and took it into their own direction. That’s Obama. A brother with serious chops and a even more serious education in politics, but aiming for a bigger audience; a crossover audience and the success that comes with it.
